Are you ... kidding me?
Did Anet capped their speeds to the users, or I'm just the only one with the RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOing problem? When ever new update is released, I get only 5-16kb downloading speed from the update client. Now usually, all the updates are small. Not that big of a problem, but now. It will take me years to get all the shit
I have a 10mb connection. Is there anything I can do, to help me solve this annoying speed problem? edit: Sorry for using a curse word in the title. Now as I can't fix it, hope the long title isn't disturbing anyone Last edited by pukiman; Oct 28, 2006 at 03:24 PM // 15:24.. |

A better cpu, for downloading speed? Sound weird, but I don't think my kind of old cpu (AMd 64 3400+) is the problem here.
Long time ago (Like 4 moths or so), I was getting great speeds while downloading the updates. |

Their servers are heavily loaded at the moment. Nothing you can do about that.

For god's sake, doesn't anyone ever read the various fora before rage-posting?
The slow download speed is due to around 2 million users all streaming the same content. Surprisingly that many users all grabbing the same content limits the available bandwidth somewhat. |

The download on the update varies greatly, on friday I had 300+ kb/s, today I had 1-2. |

if i dont get at least 300 KB/SEC i feel gyped on sustained download. i am on HS DSL less than 1500 FEET from the fiber optic hard point. just the icing on the cake i am in LA less than 20 miles from Anets new servers. |
